Dear Buckeye Valley families and community,

It is my honor to welcome you to Buckeye Valley Local Schools, where students, families,
staff, and community come together to create a place of learning, growth, and opportunity. Our district is proud of the State of Ohio 5-Star rating. BV is built on the belief that every child
deserves an excellent education and the support needed to reach their full potential.

We are proud of the strong traditions and accomplishments of our schools, as well as the
innovation and creativity that prepare our students for a changing world. Our teachers, support staff, and administrators are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction in a safe and caring environment. Together, we focus on helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

As superintendent, I am grateful for the partnership of our families and community members.

Superintendent Goals

Superintendent Ric Stranges’ annual goals are rooted in a commitment to excellence and connection. These objectives are reviewed annually in collaboration with the Board of Education to ensure the district remains student-focused while maintaining its State of Ohio 5-Star rating.

For the current school year, the Superintendent’s priorities focus on four key areas:

• Develop a Department of Strategic Communications and a Comprehensive Job Description
• Complete Transportation Stopfinder Project
• Increase Community Engagement
• Evaluate Academic Achievement and Success
