Notification of Policy
The Buckeye Valley Local School District does not discriminate on the basis of sex in its education programs or activities, including admission and employment, and is required by Title IX and its implementing regulations not to discriminate in such a manner. The following fulfills the district's requirement to provide a summary of reported and verified incidents of harassment.  The table below shows the number of incidents that occurred in Buckeye Valley Local Schools by Semester.

The following is the definition of harassment as defined by the Ohio Department of Education:

"Harassment, intimidation or bullying means any intentional written, verbal, graphic or physical act OR electronically transmitted acts, i.e., internet, cell phone, personal digital assistance (PDA), or wireless handheld device that a student  or group of students exhibited toward another particular student more than once and the behavior both:
  
   a. causes mental or physical harm to the other student, and

  b. is sufficiently severe, persistent or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening or abusive educational environment for the other student."
